What Does the

American Association of University Women Do?

 

   * Funds and conducts pioneering research on women, girls, and education

   * Advances educational and professional opportunities for women by providing fellowships, grants and awards

   * Promotes awareness of sex discrimination in higher education and workplaces through campus outreach programs, an on-line resource library, and by helping to fund certain sex discrimination cases as they are brought to court

   * Influences debate on critical issues such as civil rights, Title IX, welfare reform, vocational education, pay equity, family and medical leave, and health care reform

   *Advocates for changes to benefit women and girls from a base 100,000 members strong
